September 2018 Praise and Prayer

Fall is in the air.  Children have returned to attending school.  Families are getting into their school year routine.  In CEF, it also means equipping volunteers with tools to conduct Good News Club.
One of the tasks that I have is to check to see if volunteers have completed the required paperwork to ensure the safety of the children and the ministry.   In looking back at the last ministry year — September 2017 to August 2018 over 800 Wisconsinites have volunteered to work with the children.   Praise God for each of these workers.  Each year there is some paperwork required, so as Good News Clubs start up again this fall,  everyone needs to register and sign at least one document.  This makes September a busy month for me.  As I check the official records and then report back to the chapters the status of their volunteers.   After a year of working on their project,  it is hopefully simpler and I have figured out a routine myself to communicate with the local chapter. This can be time consuming at times, but we are so thankful for the many volunteer.
Thank you so much for your investment in the ministry that God has called me to.   Because of you I continue to work to reach the children of Wisconsin with the gospel.

Praise
à For the encouraging reports from around the state of children being reached with the gospel this summer.
à For a very positive response to JYC.   All four teams who had club last year are planning to start, and a possibility of a new one.
à For God especially for the volunteer in North Central who are anxious about continuing to do Good News Clubs even without a local director
à For the fact that the schools are open to letting us have Good News Club.

Pray
à That parents and children will hear about a Good News Club near them and that the children will attend
à For continued wisdom in customizing a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) for the chapter. This is a huge project.  - Praise God that good progress has been made in the last month.
à For wisdom as I work in my position  as Assistant to the State Director/Teacher Trainer as well as Assistant to the Exec Director in Southeast WI
